It offers cloud-based phone features like hold, transfers, and reporting, replacing traditional PBXs with a complete cloud telephony system. Note: Some Microsoft 365 and Office 365 plans no longer include Teams and require a separate license.
Teams Phone delivers full PBX capabilities, letting you call other Teams users directly. To reach external numbers, it connects to the PSTN via Teams Calling Plans, Teams Phone Mobile, Operator Connect, or Direct Routing, offering flexible telephony options.
